The Pride of the Déise annual festival is proudly supported by the Waterford City and County Council Festival Grant Fund, and we are delighted to be partnering with Waterford and South Tipperary Community Youth Services to platform LGBT+ Youth, and the Theatre Royal, to bring this event to life and platform local Queer voices.

Start your Pride day off right with Bród Brunch at Burzza, a community breakfast/brunch event ahead of the Pride March on Saturday, June 1st.

Gather with friends and fellow Pride-goers at Burzza café for a delicious meal featuring a specially curated set menu of brunch favorites.

Enjoy mouthwatering dishes, refreshing drinks*, and vibrant conversation as we fuel up for a day of celebration and solidarity. The Brunch will end before the community is due to gather at Cathedral Square for ahead of the annual Pride March and Block Party.

13:30 - 14:00 | Pride March [All Ages]

Venue - Cathedral Sqaure/O'Connell Street

Join the Pride March as we come together to listen to inspiring speeches, gather in solidarity, and proudly march through the streets. Raise your voice, wave your flag, and march with pride!

When we arrive to O'Connell Street, there will be speeches from the organisers and guests ahead of the Block Party.

14:00 - 19:00 | Pride Block Party [All Ages]

Keep the celebration going at the Pride Block Party, featuring live music and entertainment. Dance, mingle, and embrace the spirit of inclusivity and joy.

Celebrate local LGBTQIA+ artisans at our queer craft market during the O’Connell Street Pride Block Party following the Pride March. Explore a curated selection of unique handmade crafts, supporting queer creators and adding a touch of pride to your shopping experience.

14:00 - 17:00 | Quiet Space with Neuro Pride Ireland [All Ages]

Take a moment to unwind and recharge in the Quiet Space, finding a peaceful oasis away from the hustle and bustle. Relax, reflect, and rejuvenate in this tranquil retreat.

Get creative with a unique life drawing event featuring drag artists and live models. Sketch and bop to the fabulous beats of drag-inspired tunes!

Transport yourself back to the groovy era of the 70s at the Silent Disco, dancing and boogieing to disco classics. Put on your dancing shoes and get ready to groove at this Youth-led event for 14-24.
